Data Collection and Use

The Tetatet Chat app is designed for video communication between users. To ensure proper operation of its core features, the following permissions are required:

• Camera — Used solely to transmit your video stream to another participant in real time during a video call.

• Microphone — Used only to transmit your voice during audio and video calls.

The application does not access the camera or microphone in the background and does not use them without explicit user interaction.

Real-Time Data Processing

No Recording

We do not record or store audio or video streams of your calls on our servers.

Transit Data Transmission

Audio and video data are transmitted directly between participants (peer-to-peer) or via secure relay servers solely for the purpose of establishing and maintaining the connection.

Encryption

All data transmitted during calls is protected using modern security and encryption protocols, including DTLS-SRTP.

Data Sharing with Third Parties

The Tetatet Chat app does not use third-party services to process, store, or analyze users' audio or video data. Video communication is implemented using the open standard WebRTC. Audio and video data are not shared with third parties, are not used for advertising, analytics, or marketing purposes, and are not stored or processed outside the call session.

Data Storage and Deletion

We store only the minimum amount of information required for the operation of the application, including a profile identifier and technical data necessary to provide the service. Users may request deletion of their account and all associated data at any time via the application settings or by contacting us.

Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure.

Face Data and Identity Verification

During the identity verification process, the app performs a liveness check using the device's front-facing camera. The app uses on-device face detection technology (Google ML Kit) to determine whether a face is present, its position within the frame, and the orientation of the user's head. This processing occurs entirely on the device; no face geometry, landmarks, contours, or head orientation data is transmitted to our servers or any third party.

Upon successful completion of the liveness check, a single photograph is captured and uploaded to our server solely for identity verification purposes. The photograph is not shared with third parties and is retained only for the duration necessary to complete the verification process. No biometric templates or facial recognition data are created, stored, or shared by the application.
